Today was a day that will be remembered. Kids will learn about it in schools and it will eventually show up on that calendar you buy.<img src="file:///C:/DOCUME%7E1/Brooke/LOCALS%7E1/Temp/moz-screenshot-1.jpg" alt="" /><br /><br />We have an African American President! <img src="file:///C:/DOCUME%7E1/Brooke/LOCALS%7E1/Temp/moz-screenshot.jpg" alt="" />I am so proud to say that we have come so far from where we began!<br /><br />I was lucky enough to be raised in a home that never spoke a single vulgar word. One being to refinish majority of my furniture. Those of you who have seen my bed room through out the years most likely remember an old dresser that was in my room. It has been yellow, pink, cream, and purple; but now it's a very simple black.<br />I needed to give this old piece of furniture a new twist...<br /><br />It's been an on going project for a few weeks. Now the only bit of advice I can give for this is that it is not a bright idea to use spray paint. My name is Brooke. I am 25 and from a small small town in the middle of Alabama. I moved to North Carolina with my boyfriend Brad . Both of my parents live in Alabama and I miss them more then I realized. My mother has her own blog; <a href="http://whistlestopcooking.blogspot.com/">Whistlestop Cafe Cooking</a>; which everyone should take a minute to check out.<br />Sense moving I have realized many things about myself; but most of all, what I want out of life. Moving out was one of the best and the worst things to ever happen to me. It has taught me so much about myself that I never realized before. I realized that I need to step up and be an adult, nothing is going to happen unless I do it myself.
